Las Gaviotas in August

It's December now, and I'm officially ready for winter to be over. Except it hasn't started yet.

Jackson and Cole

Cole: "Dude, chicks dig us."
Jackson: "Totally."

We're not really related, are we?

Much like his father had in his youth, Cole questioned whether or not he was truly "related" to his Grandpa.

Dinner with Grandpa

We told Cole's Grandpa that he had mastered his table manners before he picked Cole up for an extended baby sitting weekend. Tash and I promptly left for Mexico to avoid the impending calamity.

Staring contest

We're very proud of Cole's competitive nature, he never backs down from a staring contest.

Life lesson

This was the last we ever saw of Cole's Grandpa and Great Uncle. Apparently, Americans sporting culturally insensitive headgear constitutes a capital crime in Mexico. Ironically, they escaped the Federales, but were denied entry to U.S. by the U.S. border patrol.

Cole sets out to Sea

At two-and-a-half, we decided Cole should see the world, so we got him a job on a Japanese whale boat. It's pretty hard on us because he never writes.

Livin' the artist lifestyle

Sometimes it pays to be a struggling artist...

Uncle JGs living room in bloom

This is Uncle Jonny's living room on display in Ohio this summer. The living room was part of his 2003 graduate show and has been on display in this Ohio yard for more than two years.

Cole and his gorgeous Mom on Mother's Day. I'm a lucky man.  Posted by Hello

We were ready to go take a dip in the chilly Pacific when suddenly we saw Womanus Rivertuckysaurus emerge from the deep. We decided to wait until later. Posted by Hello

For his first attempt at making brownies, we were pretty impressed with Cole's innate culinary instincts.  Posted by Hello

Sorry it's been two weeks since we posted an update, but as you can see from this photo, our son Cole was temporarily possessed by Syndrome from The Incredibles. If you're one of the two people in the country who haven't seen the movie, its worth the four bucks at the local rental shop.  Posted by Hello

A new beginning

Welcome to our blog. We're new at this, so bear with us. Our vision is to provide our friends and family with an online glimpse into our day-t0-day lives. I know, I know...what could be more exciting than the daily activities of a family of three. Well, give us a chance and maybe we'll surpise you.

BTW, for you sports fans, the Galaxy beat Dallas FC 2-0 tonight. Cole, our two-year-old son, watched the game with us and he seems ready to get on the pitch and knock the ball around. He was dribbling a little soccer ball around the house until I took him out with a vicious clete's up tackle from behind. That'll teach him for playin' ball in the house.

Check back with us soon for more updates.

He's come out of hiding... Posted by Hello

Here's Cole hiding behind our remote control. He's two years old.  Posted by Hello
